This past summer, I was speaking at a conference in Pittsburgh, PA. I got to the hotel very late, and was checked into my room. When I went to my room, I opened the door and realized that the room was occupied (much to everyone's surprise). I asked for another room, and the front desk person gave me a second room. I woke up the next morning to a loud banging racket - and when I opened my door to see what was going on, I realized that I was in the only remaining room on the floor that could be occupied. The hotel was going through a remodel, and every other room on the floor had been gutted to the studs!
